He left everything to follow his teacher and possessed a passion that would change the world. That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man. And that’s the point: Peter was just an ordinary guy who heard and followed God’s extraordinary call.

Throughout this Lenten season, pastors from local congregations will help us to examine the example of this disciple of Jesus. In doing so, we might discover that, like Peter, each of us also has special gifts, talents, and abilities that God can use to make a difference today!

Please join us on Fridays at noon throughout Lent. We’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church (6 East 7th Street). Donations, which are accepted for lunch each week, will be contributed to a local community service agency.

Fellowship Time at 10:00 am with doughnuts and coffee in the gym.

Worship at 10:30 in the Sanctuary.

We participate in a collaborative community youth group that meets every Sunday while school is in session.
